Interview & Trial Shift at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

After we receive your online  application form, you will be then be contacted by the friendly Teen Volunteer Program Coordinator who will advise if there is a vacancy within the Teen Volunteer program. If so, you will be asked to come down to the Sanctuary  for an interview where you will be given more information about the requirements of the role and we can assess your suitability to be successful in  the role. If you are successful at that interview, arrangements will be made for you to attend a half day trial shift with the Teen Volunteers, so you can  find out about the role first hand before you commit to the Teen Volunteer  program.

Entry  to the Teen Volunteer program will cost $80, and this will fund your training materials, a Teen Vol polo  shirt, hat and name badge which are yours to keep. You will need to provide your own suitable footwear and trousers/ shorts. Entry to this volunteering program also provides the benefit of free entry to the Sanctuary for you & your  family whilst you are an active member in the program. You will also receive a certificate of participation when you exit the program; great for your resume!

Important note: Places within the Teen  Volunteer program are limited and no guarantee of acceptance will be given.  Thank you for understanding that in order to protect both our animals and  Sanctuary operations, only people who meet the selection criteria & program  requirements can be accepted into the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Volunteer programs.
